Peer Review Process

At Contusm Publications, we uphold a rigorous double-blinded peer-review process to ensure the quality, integrity, and credibility of the research we publish across our international open access journals.

Initial Screening

Upon submission, manuscripts are first screened by the editorial office to ensure they fit the journal’s scope and meet basic formatting and ethical standards. Manuscripts failing to meet the criteria may be returned to the authors for revision or rejection without external review.

Double-Blinded Peer Review

All qualified manuscripts undergo double-blinded peer review, where:

  • The reviewers do not know the identity of the authors.
  • The authors do not know the identity of the reviewers.

This helps eliminate bias and ensures a fair and objective assessment.

Reviewer Selection

Expert reviewers are carefully selected based on their expertise, research background, and publication history relevant to the manuscript’s subject area. Each manuscript is typically reviewed by two or more independent reviewers.

Review Criteria

Reviewers assess manuscripts based on:

  • Originality and novelty of the research
  • Scientific rigor and methodology
  • Clarity and coherence of presentation
  • Relevance to the journal's scope
  • Ethical standards and citation of related literature

Editorial Decision

Based on reviewer feedback, the editor will make one of the following decisions:

  • Accept
  • Minor Revision
  • Major Revision
  • Reject

Authors will receive detailed reviewer comments to guide any revisions.

Revision and Resubmission

Authors are expected to revise their manuscripts thoroughly in response to reviewer comments. A revised version must be submitted within the stipulated time frame and will be re-evaluated accordingly.

Final Decision and Publication

After final approval by the editorial board, accepted manuscripts undergo copyediting and layout formatting. The final version is published online with open access under the journal’s licensing terms.

Confidentiality and Ethics
  • All submitted manuscripts and reviewer comments are treated as confidential.
  • Reviewers and editors must declare any conflicts of interest.
  • Suspected ethical misconduct is investigated in line with COPE guidelines.

Contusm Publications values the time and expertise of its reviewers and strives to maintain a transparent, efficient, and ethical peer-review process that supports scholarly excellence.
